Kentucky Lake offers an opportunity to fish every type of cover imaginable. There are miles of buck brush and willows for spring time flipping and topwater. Hydrilla beds spring up in the summer to offer a chance for frog fishing through the fall. And of course there are the famed ledges that Kentucky Lake is known for. These ledges provide some some of the best fishing anywhere in the world from late spring through the winter. 100 fish days are not uncommon on Kentucky Lake with a shot at the fish of a lifetime. Any angler no matter the age or the skill level can have a successful day on Kentucky Lake.

Having competed as a professional in these circuits, I have had the opportunity to fish a lot of places. I have competed from The Great Lakes to Okeechobee and many places in between. While all of the lakes have been fun, I can honestly say that I prefer Kentucky Lake to them all. It has great shallow fishing, miles of Hydrilla and other grass, and the best ledge fishing in the country. No other lake that I have ever been to has the combination of quantity and quality of fish that Kentucky Lake has. I grew up fishing all over the Tennessee River and to me Kentucky Lake is the Crown Jewel of them all.
